Watercolor is a wondrous medium. Watercolors have a glow, liveliness and spontaneity that is unique. In the hands of a skilled artist, watercolor can do things that no other medium can do. Watercolor is also known for being the most challenging of all mediums due to its transparency (hard to cover up mistakes). For those artists who become seduced by its qualities, watercolor becomes a life-long love affair, with a wide range of emotional experiences, from surprise and delight, to bewilderment and frustration.
But, watercolor doesnਡve to be so difficult. As with many things in life, itਯw you do it that matters.
In this two-day workshop, Richard will share his watercolor method. Students will learn by doing, as well as through demonstrations, in-depth discussions, and one-on-one critiques. The class size will be kept small and students will paint in picturesque locations.
The learning environment will be caring and supportive, and the information will be simplified so that it is easy to understand and immediately apply.
